Effective communication between home and school is crucial to ensuring we all do the best we can by the children in our care.
Information Handbook
To enable strong links to be established between home and school we have several communication channels. One is a handbook which is your introduction to our school, and contains information from the Principal, staff and P&C. It allows you to understand where we are; what our processes and standards are; what our academic, sporting and arts profile comprises; what our school believes; and how it delivers those beliefs in the context of your child’s educational experience.
Taylor Street Notice Board
This notice board advises the community of forthcoming school events.
“Polar Press” - Newsletter
A fortnightly publication “Polar Press” is sent home every second Monday with the eldest child in the family. This informs you of school events and contains information from the Principal and date claimers for each term, Sporting results etc. If you do not want your child’s photograph to be featured in this publication, please advise the school in writing.
Parent / School
Communication between parents and the school is encouraged. With a desire to promote open and harmonious relationships within the school and the wider community every effort is made to encourage worthwhile communication levels. It is hoped that parents will become acquainted with their teachers and the school Principal. From time to time, it may be necessary for parents or teachers to request a discussion on matters of concern and parents are encouraged to establish contact with teachers and administrators for this purpose. You will appreciate the need to make prior arrangements for such interviews.
